Hi,

Is a manual for the Neumann AM-131 available for purchase or download?

(I have seen a Neumann manuals CD on e-bay however it doesn't have the manual).

Thanks
Henry

Hi,

No I don't own one. I'm interested in learning more about the Neumann lathes. In particular the mechanical features/aspects. The engineering looks to be superb.

Thanks from,
Henry

There is one in Sydney somewhere and one in Melbourne, too. Each of the owners have now passed on and the lathes are probably sitting in someone's garage. The Sydney one was owned by my old friend Noel who used to cut albums on it for his "Vintage Records" label which we used to press in the late 80s/early 90s. All fixed pitch and depth ofcourse.

The nechanical part of the lathe itself didnt change much over the years so even if you buy the VMS70 CD on Ebay it might give you what you are looking for.

Thanks for your reply.

I had no idea that there were some of these lathes in Australia. If they don't end up at the tip maybe I can locate one!

Thanks for your suggestion regarding the VMS 70 lathe CD. Sounds like it might be a good option.

Henry
