Some block diagram on how to encode and decode the balanced signals and the point where you can insert?

Any help? :roll:

I understand that l and r must be add on one side and on the other side rest L and r, and process with comp etc but I do not know is back to turn this into stereo

Any help please?

Hi,
If I understand corerectly, you want to know how to encode, process and decode MS.

To encode:

Mid = L+R (This is just the mono sum)
Side = L-R (The out of phase information)

You can process either signal as desired.

To reform the stereo:

L = Processed Mid + Processed Side (L+R) + (L-R) = 2L

R = Processed Mid - Processed Side (L+R) - (L-R) = 2R

Hope this helps.

Mark

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=DTZ06NFW

this is a link to dowload the schematics of the sp72
look at the EE66 card , you have a example of a mid/ side encoder decoder with a high pass filter in the side before the recoding in L/R

or this page

I built it and it works
