Hey Nickou!

Could you please relink that stylus info, the current link seems to be down.

I have other bulletins scanned. So, if you need more info let me know and I'll post those too.

Thank you!!

Now, the one I'm curious about is the "standard" stylus, as it would have most typically looked in the mid 1940's. My hunch is that we will find a tip with an angle quite a bit wider than 90 degrees. If one is trying to make an acetate or poly cut to be played on an old 78 player, and you want that wide groove, you can't necessarily "just cut deeper" without possibly damaging your cutting stylus; the acetate layer is only so thick.

I'd love to get some styli made up with those dimensions. I'm still trying to achieve my dream of cutting poly discs that can be played on a Victrola using a cactus needle.

As I further develop my diamond styli and work with my manufacturer, all things will be possible. At some point I will be conquering synthetic stones. Laboratory sapphire included. I'm working on a way to switch my lathes speeds handily. My motor can do 78... So, this is near and dear to me too.

Hi Todd, have you managed to create a non-zero width burnishing facet on your sawn diamond styli? This was once done by Kogyo, but I don't know how they cut the big Mohs grains that small (i.e. several microns)

I'm interested in the 329SH model specs which Apollo currently only offer in Corundum.
