The literature usually calls them k-#, but sometimes the serial numbers denote them as #-k. I guess it depends on year. That's all I can offer. I have a k-10 from 1950(?) and a 6-k from 1940 (?) .They're basically the same machine, aside from some extra gears on the 10 and a little difference in the pre amp circuit.
