new cutting vid

A spot for keeping track of especially cool (informative, fun) videos, photos, scans and other links about record cutting. (You can post them in other sections. Eventually they may end up here.) NOTE: Please put *Circuits, Schematics and Manuals* in the section with that name.

Curious. A Vinylium cutting head on a Neumann lathe - kind of like putting a Kia engine in a Mercedes, no?

haha.
sorry but kia is not swiss made...

i would say drop a ROLEX into a mercedes....

there are a few studios working very successfully with sc99. also soundwise.
just a review of such a setup:

ok. this sc-99 was made with more attention than regular stock sc-99
much smaller tolerances for coils and all the rest.
also minicut is build in its best option and he uses great amps...

but basically its an sc-99

No, but welcome to the forum. Have a look around and you will see that Vinylium is held in high esteem. They are the only company producing disc cutting equipment today.

I have to say, that I am very very happy with my SC-99,
cutted a lot of stuff with it, no problem at all, not the best
for very high levels, but this I do most with halfspeed...
I cutted also nearly all of my 7inch masters with this head,
everything came out fine, even the long 33RPM 6-7minute
sides with loud and agressive music.
The quality of all vinylium products is very high, long lasting
and build for professionals, also the kingston cutter!
