pierre clement m2 cutting head

Hello to all, I have recently bought a Pierre Clement cutting head model M2 + a Poltz Freres lathe that I am restoring in these days.
My problem is the cutterhead, because the coil is good (in fact my tester sign about 22- 23 ohm ), but the original rubber damper ( probably silicone ) has gone.
Now the question is: where I must insert a little of silicone glue for rebuilding this damper ? Is possible utilize too other materials ?

Many thanks to all.
Cheers.
Raffaello.

Hi,
I'm not sure if there is any damping material in the pierre clement head. Some old cutters don't have damping material installed...

Does it look like this? (PIC FROM FLOKA.COM)
