Does anyone object to the possible inclusion of some of the information in this thread, in a tentative upcoming 2nd Edition of Larry Boden's "Basic Disc Mastering" book? (with a reference to this forum)

Also, will try to contact each business directly to ask, but if someone reads this first, let me know if you DON'T wish to be listed in the book, or if you have more detailed contact info for a resource, or if contact info has changed...

Thanks,
- Bob

Hi everyone - I'm Josh Bonati. I run Bonati Mastering in Brooklyn, NYC. I'm cutting on a Neumann VMS70 with a SAL74B rack, SX74 cutterhead. Mostly Prism / Maselec gear. Monitors are Dunlavy SC-IVa. All equipment is listed on the site + pics. I'm focused on cutting lacquers for production but can of course cut dubs too.

Hey Bob - I sure don't mind being included in the book. Let us know when it comes out.

QUESTION: Trying to compile a list of more than the 4 or so USA cutters listed here so far...

Does anyone know if ANY of these cutters from 1981 are still active??? (I suspect "No", but, Have to ask...)

Also, can anyone tell me if they know which USA PRESSING PLANTS offer in-house cutting? Or if the cutting is from a nearby business, whats the name of the business?

The 1981 list: Sort of a sad thing to read.... checkout Van Gelder studios in NJ:

THANKS IN ADVANCE,
- Bob
