Props to myself

Here is a thread dedicated to giving yourself props for accomplishments..

Props to me for rebuilding my RCA cutter head to good as new. The failure was a tension spring that gib snapped, but resoldered, finally broke causing the bar to fall off the knife edge.

I did not replace the spring, but rather redesigned the suspension of the bar on the knife edge by supporting it from the bottom using a piece of silicon fuel tubing for a model airplane, cut into 2 U's about 1/8" long.

it sounds so good now, better then before, especially since i never heard it before gib broke it..

woot!

Now i don't need a new amp, since this head is better then the presto, and is wound to 8ohms
generally its for reproduction.. but i like to play wif it sometimes.. :P

Almost entirely positive you aren't supposed to give kudos to yourself.
