Hi, I'm just new to the site. I'm a student and I'm trying to learn as much about record cutting as possible as i aim to build a lathe for a project next year. I recently bought a (or part of a) record cutting lathe at an auction and wondered if anyone could help in identifying it?

It's not exactly in the best shape and it has no makers mark but judging just by how it's built it must have some age to it. I realise it doesn't look great but if anyone has any ideas as to where it's come from let me know

It's really old. Where did it come from?

Re: Lathe Identity
It came from South Yorkshire all the auction house could tell me was that it belonged to a relative of the seller and judging by the other lots it looked like a house clearance
