this is one of the most sought after Edison cylinders. a copy of this cylinder goes for $ 2,000+ if you could find one. Edison made 108 copies of this cylinder just before the stock market crash of 1929 which ended the Edison cylinder manufacturing forever. the original is a blue celluloid 4 minute cylinder known as a blue amberol. this is a copy i made from a very high quality audio file from tino van der zwan, a friend in the Netherlands.
this is recorded on a black wax recording blank running at 100 rpm and is the ONLY copy recorded on a two minute cylinder phonograph running at this speed. this sounds as good as the original four minute cylinder. this is the only WAX cylinder copy of this song in the world...
