Wow! that is so cool. I never really thought that there is so much equipment & energy used to press a record.

Mindblowing!

Well this plant and gear only runs one machine and a 7" at that So not very demanding It is a great economical set-up for what it does
I am not sure what you would say if you visited a plant with about 10 or even 3 presses running as well as all the other gear that it needs Like cutting, electroforming, recycling of the waste nickel as well as the reject vinyl etc etc etc
It is certainly no CD burning process Hey
Cheers

yo!
the plant is now in munich!
I moved it last week, with one truck (7.5tons-truck)
yesterday, I installed the new electric cabinet.
the electricity in the new factory was a nightmare, some drunken guys
have drilled the 400 Volts cables together
very funny.
I post pictures soon.
@moss and the other ökologic freaks:
there is a german company, they produce steam generator,
fired by wood pallets or somehing like this :)
I have asked for a price :)
I think, very expensive, because it is not easy, to reach a stable
power out of wood.
let´s see, what they say.
:D
now, I need a bit rest....

Andy!
Mate what a nightmare You would certainly need a rest For sure
Guys did drill the cables together accidently? or some guys trying to steal it for scrap it is up around the $7.00 mark per KG now
Now Now Andy I know we do live in the past still making Vinyl records So they tell me anyway But to burn wood for steam that is getting a bit adventurous don't you think?
Seriously It is not a good idea at all The amount of wood you need to store is quite freightening apart from the fact that you need to be there all the time feeding the damn thing Unless of course it has a feeder which is of not much help as it will jam with any bit that it does not meet it's specification
But there is an added benefit if you are going down that path All your neighbours will be very happy with the Ash you will give them for free to put on their gardens It makes things grow like you wouldnt believe due to the Potash in there The name derived from that any way Get ash put in a pot of water stir it every day for a week let it sit so as to settle Take the water out of the pot water plants with it Grow like hell Name Pot Ash
So you can be an ecological fellow as well as making 45's man
By the way it is not a problem getting steam stable from wood Talk to your local Steam train madman I am sure you will have some around Munich They are everywhere And if you ask them they may even give you a boiler for nothing if you promise to restore it and use it Steam trains did reach a high level of efficiency I am sure I read somewhere that in the USA they used to talk of a mile per pound of coal for some of their loco's
Any way Good Luck in the new spot Hope all goes well for you and I know have a new digital camera 12 MP for less that $400 dollars the one that "walked" was 5MP and I thought it was great Talk about not keeping up with technology hey? Than again whats wrong with what we do It is old tech but we do love it
Cheers
