edison cylinder / "Flowers of Edinburgh" / josh turknett

Anything goes! Inventors! Artists! Cutting edge solutions to old problems. But also non-commercial usage of record cutting. Cost- effective, cost-ineffective, nutso, brilliant, terribly fabulous and sometimes fabulously terrible ideas.

josh turknett is a neurosurgeon located in Atlanta, GA. he is also an outstanding banjo player and is recording exclusively for us. we are featuring his recordings on ebay and are putting together a series of cylinder recordings. all original acoustic era songs. this is an excellent cylinder recording, louder than any original cylinder and sounds nothing like a cylinder phonograph. this is an mp3 transfer to a black wax recording blank running at 160 rpm...
