MIDIToLatheControl

Anything goes! Inventors! Artists! Cutting edge solutions to old problems. But also non-commercial usage of record cutting. Cost- effective, cost-ineffective, nutso, brilliant, terribly fabulous and sometimes fabulously terrible ideas.

Mine is also computer controlled remotely via a desktop application, a vst control, or any midi device. I don't see a lot of function in having it on a iPad. I don't cut from an iPad, but rather a desktop computer. If I am standing in front of the lathe, it saves little energy to use an iPad vs. hitting the buttons on the lathe. My app runs in the bottom corner of the screen and is unobtrusive to my Pro Tools view. Additionally, I can sequence button presses via MIDI from my DAW.

At 2:25 in the video you can see what a functional cutting screen looks like.... DAW, Interface meters, Lathe Remote Panel and Video Camera feeds from the Left channel meters on my amp rack.
