much improved results, this can compete with any Edison cylinder phonograph, the recording is crisp, clear and quite loud, total cost of this machine was 10 bucks !!! i am using a Walmart transmission funnel as both the recording horn and playback horn. the drive belt for the mandrel is made from duct tape. for doing experiments or making fun recordings on a wax cylinder you simply cannot beat the Dictaphone dictation machine. the poor mans cylinder phonograph...
