Noob question: Why no rubber mat on 1210 platter (t560)

If a rubber mat reduces wow and flutter during playback on a 1210 why will it not have the same result when cutting?

You could glue the disc to the platter. Would't make a difference. The problem is the torque of the platter motor. If it doesnt have enough force to counteract the downward pressure then you'll have flutter.
