Boutique vinyl records pressing plant in Miami is looking for a full-time Plant and Production Manager.
The Production Manager will have full responsibility and autonomy for the day-to-day manufacturing operations, and input into all manufacturing, engineering, and logistics;
Ensure goods are produced & delivered to factory standards, on time as required by the client, and at a desirable labor and materials cost;
Command the plant floor and oversee all manufacturing personnel;
Strategize improvements of the business, and execution of visible measures of performance within the manufacturing plant.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES and TASKS
Plan and coordinate all plant activities to insure the total production goals are met in a timely and cost effective manner.
Direct, manage, and monitor employees and departmental operations for production, logistics, and maintenance.
Manage manufacturing employees schedules and performance.
Manage maintenance personnel and resources.
Identify and implement cost reduction and efficiency projects.
Attend management meetings and file periodic reports to CEO and board of directors.
Identify and Implement new products and train relevant personnel.
Implement company policies including attendance, discipline, and training of employees.
Provide a safe and healthy workplace for all employees. Ensure all equipment within the department is maintained and used in a correct and safe manner.
Manage and monitor training schedule for all departmental employees.
Plan, monitor and manage inventory.
REQUIRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Specific experience with vinyl record pressing a must. Knowledge and experience around compression and blow molding, hydraulics, electric, steam, and air-compressing machinery.
Proven track record of working in a manufacturing environment.
Excellent verbal communication skills, and experience in communicating at all levels of the business, and a natural ability to motivate staff.

Problem solving abilities.
