Hi there!
For my own small operation i am looking for a record press!
Do you know, or do you got one for sale - hit me up! I will consider all options but my preference goes out to a manuel one.
Besides that i am also looking for a Certus Junior 150 steam generator, or something similar, suitable for one press.
Actually any basic pressingplant equipement is welcome, extruders, label cutting etc in Europe.
Not interested in cutting, plating and sleeve equipement.
My plan is to setup a one press operation, specialising in coloured, picture disks and offcourse regular vinyl.
A manuel press enjoys my preference as there is less to break down, no vacuum stuff and spinning parts and the ability to get creative with coloured vinyl and the possiblity of making picture disks.
Cutting and plating would be outsourced to a other plant.
I would love to get some proper feedback on this, why i should or shouldn't start with this.
Is it possible to get a one press operator cost effective?

So you're gonna take the plunge, thats cool. I'm putting together a very basic stripped back manual press and hoping to press my own bands on 7". Most of it is build from scratch in my shed, I love my shed.

I have read Plating and Pressing 3 times now hehe, started on the rest of the forum.
Im not going to pull this off in a couple of months time, i give it 2 years minimum.
This week i recieved the masters for my next release, planning to order it at Record Industry (NL) so i can pick them up, have a look in the plant and make some contacts for a internship. Unfortunally instead of the previous plant i ordered at, RI takes a 3 month turnaround time.
I guess patience is key in all elements of vinyl business.
