Record matrices, Electro-forms, electro's

Once you have cut a master laquer, you have metal stampers created and have records pressed from them. Discuss manufacturing here. (Record Matrix Electroforming- Plating, Vinyl Record Pressing.)

Brugnateli Galvani the frogman etc.
However M. Faraday as well as S. Arrhenius are the real fathers of all electro... Despite some posters here mentioning the above fellows which is fine.
So let's have a look what some of the Books or other soutces have to tell us on The subject as well as what they have to say about electro's
From the philosophical magazine of 1836 using the Daniell cell we have a W.de la Rue telling the world forming a copper plate which on separation had 'the image of every scratch however fine'
So the historians tells us the real discovery was two years later a professor at the academy of sciences in st Petersburg, Russia reported copper electro's in 1838
Two Englishman Spencer and Jordan also reported on the art at about the same time
In 1842 professor Bottger refined nickel deposition after unsuccessful attempts by de Ruolz and Smee who used Insufficiently pure salts.
Main activity was in France Germany as well as the UK
Names like Soyer, Kobell, Elsner, Parkes, Moyle, as well as Ossan are some of the pioneers who toiled away these early days so as to get either credit or financial advantage.
So it went from there with early applications of the art with patents granted to applicants one of the early being pat no 218,473 granted to R.Barrie in 1879.
So Blackwell got patent number 630,771 in 1899 with patent number 850,912 granted to the master of inventions Edison in 1907 unique as it used a generator rather than cells.
Of course since we are all here due to sound reproduction I suppose it be fair to say the rest is history
The terminology used by patent seekers in pursuing their end is there for any one who wishes to access those patents as well as the history of the art. Suffice to say they wanted their inventions protected for strictly commercial rather than altruistic reasons.
Somehow they really cared about terminology at the time they needed to precisely describe the process so as to establish priority in this very process inventing new words and descriptions
Anode cathode electrolyte conductors and non conductors where words invented at about that time
And inflammable air was a label for hydrogen when the phlogiston idea was around.
Phlogisticated air was a common expression to describe oxygen and fixed air was co2.
Regardless since any language is ever evolving descriptions are labels of which we have ample examples in life
To a conductor Beethoven's fifth conjures up a rich musical experience where gravity to a scientist arises in him laws and ideas.
Scientist's conjure up wacky nonsense words as a label
So we have quarks but they are also coloured red blue and green
Really?
And how did the dead frog man got his name attached to the process? No idea but history in the sciences as well as inventions is littered with laws as well as processes which have a label even if it is misslabeled or the name of someone else rather than the original inventor.
Humans deliberatey or inadvertentlly have labeled as well as mislabeled things it is there in our daily lives
Cheers
