Xrays

This is where record cutters raise questions about cutting, and trade wisdom and experiment results. We love Scully, Neumann, Presto, & Rek-O-Kut lathes and Wilcox-Gay Recordios (among others). We are excited by the various modern pro and semi-pro systems, too, in production and development. We use strange, extinct disc-based dictation machines. And other stuff, too.

Hiya.

Are current Xray plastics still good to Lathe cut?
Is someone able to cut from digital files direct to current Xray material?
Has anyone tried standard plastic laminated paper to cut?

hey! I'm gonna move this to the "secrets of the lathe trolls" section.
also I haven't had luck with xray film personally, with embossing or cutting

I have treated the Xray film like a picture for picture disc and just glue it to the B side of a regular lathe cut
making lathe cuts on a Presto 6N, HIFI stereo cuts on vinylrecorder
