Have you used these before? They chew up styli in my experience and are in no way worth it.

Yes, it's really difficult and dangerous for the stylus but I have the experience to do it with success

I cut into plastic plates, but before this whole "dream" of mine started I was looking at blank Vinyl. Here is a site where a 12inch blank is only $3.25! Experiment, that's what I always try to do !
