Vinylrecorder T560 compatible turntables

This is where record cutters raise questions about cutting, and trade wisdom and experiment results. We love Scully, Neumann, Presto, & Rek-O-Kut lathes and Wilcox-Gay Recordios (among others). We are excited by the various modern pro and semi-pro systems, too, in production and development. We use strange, extinct disc-based dictation machines. And other stuff, too.

Hi Trolls !

Souri says Vinylrecorder compatible only Technics SL-1200 or 1210 !
Which might be good for? e.g. Pioneer PLX-1000 , Stanton ST-150, Reloop RP8000 etc. ?

Hi,

bought two Technics SP-10 yesterday... enough torque for everything.

stefan from hamburg and a few others in here use it, the hamburg cat has a pretty decent setup, check him out.

I would suggest the SP-10 over anything else, confirmed high running torque.
and it works fine with little modification on my system.
making lathe cuts on a Presto 6N, HIFI stereo cuts on vinylrecorder

Stanton's support T 120 T560 with cutting head
Stanton T-120/150 has the same parameters with respect to 16 pole motors
CI is worth buying thank you

For Stanton's modification to correct the 0.10 to 0.15 run out needed it's not plug and play

Nor do I, its new. As far as I'm aware, its the first serious, new DD turntable for quite some time. Its also quite expensive, but then so are SP-10 mkii's - at least if UK eBay is anything to go by. It will be interesting to see how the new Technics performs, but at £1,300... That's quite a gamble.

I'm wondering how difficult it would be to rig up a DIY solution. Plenty of high-torque BLDC motors around these days... and the technology to control them. Hmmm...

for direct drive yes

for belt drive you can built something like souri did to run the Technics MKII for his vinyl recorder

Have a look at the Numark TTX - user-variable torque control and plenty of it.

I'm using a technics SP10mk2, with the additional
Precision plate from VR works well.
