factory PVC blanks?

This is where record cutters raise questions about cutting, and trade wisdom and experiment results. We love Scully, Neumann, Presto, & Rek-O-Kut lathes and Wilcox-Gay Recordios (among others). We are excited by the various modern pro and semi-pro systems, too, in production and development. We use strange, extinct disc-based dictation machines. And other stuff, too.

Hello guys!

Does anybody knows which factories create the blanks PVC plates which used for the lathe cut records?

My shank sells them, but these are NOT factory pressed records (hard pvc), they are soft pvc. Don't bother trying to cut records pressed with blank stampers.

Yes there's a moat, a lava moat...
But can someone tell me what kind of lava?
Hard lava or soft lava?

How can I cross this lava?
Can you fly over the lava if you have enough diamonds?
Do the diamonds need to be a specific type?
Do they need burnishing facets???

Where can I get such diamonds? (At an extremely low unrealistic cost???)

Come friends please help me! :(

Thanks Mega!

You must need to put the diamonds on the soles of your shoes to cross that lava.

Is this correct???

Lazy guys are zombies trying to eat brains to get the hard earned knowledge inside.

An old classic- "Flo! Tell us how to build feedback heads".

Hopefully you will have great respect for what these people have accomplished when you try to actually do it yourself.
They offer services through years of hard work, investment and risk.

Find out for yourself... Or we will await your next "I want to be MyShank" thread.

Cheers
James

Hello mr James,
this question was just because I want to make some experiments with a different kind of plastic formula, close to the famous 'myshank' style.
I don't care to be new Myshank master seller. So, I understand what you mean, but I find ridiculous the secretive and irony behind this topic.
We are here to trade info, ideas and knowledge.

Welcome mr Myshank, as I know the formula includes unifying chlorine and ethylene, I am not a chemical, so I don't know the percentage. I just want to ask them if they can create a more hard PCV, not like yours, not like real press, maybe something in between and maybe in diffrent transparent color finish. It will be nice to experiment in more new choices, that's all.
If you have answers without ironic style, then I will appreciate it.
