Hi, my name is Sebastian, Im from Argentina and I heve a Neumann AM32b lathe. Im missing the cutterhead, power amp and vacuum pump.
Im not sure about the best option for this lathe, if I would have to change my tube control amplifiers SV32 v, SV32s, SV32t, and purchase some SV66. Also I dont know if I can use a newer cutterhead and any 60w stereo amp with a riia eq.
I would like to buy those parts so if you know where to find them, please tell me.
Thanks a lot

Re: Neumann AM32 upgrade
hello Sebastian.
by 2 caruso preamp boards. buy all the parts. cost you around $200-300 for a complete stereo-preamp
buy a decent power amplifier 100-200 W per channel.around $200-500
buy a decent cutter head. sx74,x68 caruso or sc99 around $1800 up to?? i would say 7-8000
buy a pitch13 and you have a great system.
for the vacuum pump get any vacuum cleaner. build it into a wooden box if you like. if not just use the vacuum cleaner as is. there is a transformer in the am32 case where you can get 60V for the vacuum.
all you need. the am32 is a very solid base. super mechanics.
another alternative for the amps is to buy a vg66 rack.
there is a complete & working one in bern, switzerland, which I serviced a few years ago.
the great thing is that it was in use until last year. so all working and save. but only around 100W per channel.
but could be a cheap and save alternative for a plug&play solution.
send me a pm if you are interested i can send you the contact.
