Interesting. I guess they make "reference lites" at that size. I didn't know that.

It's confusing. This page seems to contradict that:

"Over the years, Apollo Masters had requests for 7”, 8”, 16”, and 17” discs. We made production samples of 7-inch discs, but a market never developed for this size."

The lacquers from Apollo will give you 200 to 300 clear plays before wearing in. This is, of course, dependant on your playback setup. If you have your tonearm set heavy (not counterbalanced much) as turntablists would then this will wear in the record faster. Also, if you use a stylus that is made for scratching then that will wear in the grooves quickly as well. Finally, if you do a lot of cueing of the record, the grooves will get worn our at that point on the record.
But, treat them well and you can get good life out of them. The Reference Lite discs that Apollo sells are said to be more robust. The claim that these can actually stand up to more abuse. Like actually being scratched for turntablism. I have a clutch of them. I haven't cut one yet however. So, I can't really comment on how they compare to a standard lacquer.
