silicon oils as used in some older photocopiers and freely available seems to be prefect for the dash pot

we use silicone damper oil for model cars in our dash pod. they come in all kinds of viscosity and can be bought in very small units to experiment with. this works perfect for us.

usually the tonearm is mounted on the back. we have it mounted on the fronside using an aluminum angle. we have it this way, cause we cut 70% pvc dubs on the vms and we want to monitor the cut. having the tonearm on the back is just a pain, and it interferes with the head cartridge. for 2 years now ...

I also have an aluminum bracket made custom to my spec by a gentleman in China

di you have any pictures of the bracket ?
that's on my to do list for years now...
