Hi!
I think Steven from MyShank is your man. Ask him about the 462 diamond stylus series he sells in his website, I think it is the right model for all ATOM and HARA machines.
Good luck with you lathe!
Best regards,
Fer

Re: 100Hz hum: Motor noise?
Hi Soulbear! Hi Fer, I'm curious as to whether you managed to resolve this issue, did you get the Walsco 1444 and Try it?? I was looking at the Specs here 8) 8) :- https://www.turntableneedles.com/Record_Player_Idler_Wheel_1444 I thought there was possibly perhaps too much of a mis-match between you...

Re: 100Hz hum: Motor noise?
Hi Soulbear! Thanks for your kind response! You are being very helpful :) I remember having read about the idler size question (Terry Rubber's Rollers site has a section titled "The big idler debate" about it) You are so right, I don't need an exact idler wheel (good news!) but I am not sure how muc...

Re: 100Hz hum: Motor noise?
Sounds more like rumble rather than AC mains motor noise (but that could be there as well) [...] I suspect that its probably close to the limit for a machine of this type. You might look for worn out rubber shock mounts and idler wheels. Hi Mark! Thanks for your suggestions. I think it is rumble to...

WANTED new idler wheel
Dear fellow trolls, I need a new idler wheel for my lathe. Approximate measurements: OD: 54mm (2.125 inches) Hole: 6mm (.230 inches) Rubber height: 6mm (.230 inches) Overall height: 18mm (.72 inches), but a shorter one could work Some pics: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Gu0fnyikTk5J-vqa1JeGTx5dbb...

100Hz hum: Motor noise?
Dear fellow trolls, I've recently purchased a diamond stylus for my Hara M-180. It was an important improvement, sonically speaking, but it also helped me to reveal a 100Hz hum in my lathe. I think it may be motor noise, because I've tried to cut a silent groove without input signal, no heating wire...

Re: Hara M180, how to open?
Ok, I've been able to open it thanks to a fellow troll (sgreiner1011): On the bottom of the box underneath in the middle there is a thumbscrew that can be taken out and the whole thing can be lifted out of its wooden box.
Thanks!
Fer
Thanks!

Hara M180, how to open?
Dear fellow trolls,
I've just received a cute Hara M180. I am not sure about how to open it to reach the mechanic and electronic parts. Any hints?
Best regards,
Fer
