Re: calibrate /configure T560
You problem is your mind. You think to much and cut to less. Cutting dubs is an art form which expects huge knowledge. Simple. Ever wonder why the laquer cutting studios in the past have all be named 'mastering studio'? If you expecting to be good in something with only a few hours of teaching? Real...

Re: calibrate /configure T560
in fact, unbalanced is the cleanest possible solution you can choose. less components needed either its 'hi-end' or not. Yes, XLR is mechanical superior to RCA, but are you at the road or on stage with your lathe? In practise 'balanced' means a balancing stage in every in- and output of every single...

Re: What do you guys do about ground loops?
Most Studios in all over the world are build around a PC-Workstation as the center. As is mine. I have feed my speakers, mastering gear and my lathe directly from a PC. So there cant be general problems with groundloops and PCs and I never experimented something like this in 15 years. Search around ...

Re: Souri Vinylrecorder for sale
Funny, most people here debating about the VR never owned one or have worked with one. In the end this secret society here is only a forum as all the others: the most attention to those who love to present themselves in public... :D Thats reason why you never get real impressions about a product in ...

Re: Souri Vinylrecorder for sale
Most negative statements regarding the VR and its manufacturer is simply pure jealousy. Who else had build a new and complete lathe and the most important; a fully working cutting head (incl. very effective feedback circuit)? No one around as far as I know... Respect to those who deserve the ...

Re: calibrate /configure T560
In my opinion when learning cutting the mixer that comes with the machine is your smallest problem. When cuts are noisy or bad sounding its for sure not the fault of the mixer. And you are able to do very good, clean cuts with the original configuration. Why try to make it different when you dont un...

Re: Welcome, Newbies! Say Hi in this thread!
Hi, I wanted to say hello. I´m a vinyl fan, engineer and owner of a small mastering studio in germany. No lathe yet, but I' m looking around for some time with no real success. No answer from souri for example. I have also checked out the forum already, but it seems there are no small and complete s...
