Hello there!
I am cutting with myshank diamond, how much heating amperage is needed?
Neumann/laquer is normally 0.4-0.6A, when I set 0.5A it seems too much....
can anybody help me out?

nice, I did this ^5 years ago, with simple idea:
there was a magnet placed under the cutting turntable of my AM32.
This magnet triggerd a reed switch, wich started the loop, so every beat
started at the same position of the laquer. BÄHM

better not 100% audible, than a jumping needle ;) as far as I know, the VAB-84 was mostly used with DMM lathes, but I have also seen in a SP-79 desk for a VMS-80... as far I undestand the VAB84 is a EEQ with variable crossover frequency? somebody has done a bunch of clones, but never finished.... ne...

the black blanks from souri are special coated/sandwich layer. the middle part is black, the layers on both sides are transparent/clear.
you see the chip while cutting is clear this material is not easy to source.
better buy blanks from myshank or souri

I calculated price a bit high. Final price is arround 13 Euro.

very nice! it sounds, like you have a lot of non fills, or the stamper is very dirty. usually, 50tons pressure
is needed for pressing 7inch, 20-30 could work too, if you have enough time. but with 1-2 tons, with the hydraulic jack... mmmhh...

no, I think it depends mostly on the knife, and also on the press design... As I worked mostly with toolex alpha, I made this experiences. Also, the point, where the knife cuts the record is very important. with the thick edge, you may have a rougher edge, for perfect feeling, the cut must be done, ...

yes, it is a matter of the wear of the knive, and the adjustment (position of the knive) a too sharp edge can cause seamsplits (destroyed spine when the record moves inside the sleeve) best is a relativ thick edge, but for this, you need a sharp knive & well maintained machine, so the innerhole does...

are these holes conical? on neumann SX68/74 heads, this hole is conical, so the stylus just sits in there,
