Re: How NOT to make blanks
In my opinion the best way is to cut them.
Whether its a cnc mill or router table its the best cut and pretty quick.

Re: blank wrap problem with souri's disk
about the stabilizer ring, I like the concept, but the design could be better, because as it is , it wont fit most turntables. I can make one , that will fit 12" turntables , that have the same platter design, like the technics and stantons, ect... I think it is a great alternative to the vacuum pla...

hmmm. Why don't people just say it's a replica. There's nothing wrong with replicas if they meet the original specs .

platters over 12" diameter available
I have been making 12" vacuum platters for over a year now. Many times people have asked me to make them a larger platter, 14" , 16" Ect ... I couldn't do this because of the limitations of my machines, but now I have the machine capacity to make parts this large. So with that said, I will start on ...

Re: Pneumatic / Hydraulic Cutter Head?
Air contains moisture, moisture Ruins everything.
Hydraulic pumps are quite noisy like pneumatics but slower than pneumatic.
But not saying you could work around It .
Good luck

Re: Who knows a good machinist? (Microfusion Book Type Molds
If you want to save money and get what you want, you need to come up with a design. Or nobody will know what you want .
or spend a lot of money and have someone else figure it out for you.

Re: uneven blank causing overcut and undercut - vinyl record
If one side is flat and the other is warped then the material thickness is not consistent. The whole group of parts from that sheet are probably bad .
Return items or throw away......

Re: Who knows a good machinist? (Microfusion Book Type Molds
The price depends on how your parts are designed. Do you have blueprints ? Do you have models? how tight are the tolerances ? What type of materials are you using? What are the quantities? What is the lead time? These are questions you should already have answers to before you look for a machinist.
