I hope someone else on here is as amoral as me.... Are those the hidden tracks? You rambling on about the mole people would ...

Re: Scully going rate?
I like the late Al Grundy's approach forget about the lathe history and buy it for what it's worth. Been sentimental over a machine, not for me. We have seen too much of that lately. There is some history behind that Scully but I think it's priced relevant to the market demands. Someone with their h...

There is still one doing the rounds on Ebay.
It has been relisted. Be prepared to pay top dollar. Contact Len Horowitz if you are searching for a turnkey system.
Best Of luck in your search.

What is the mold going to grab onto if it's pressing a 12" record from a 12" stamper?
There is nothing for the stamper to be clamped in.

Re: presto 6n ratchet assembly problem
Hi Fela,
It should come apart with a bit of effort.
A good cleaning and re-grease of the ratchet solved the issue for me.

Kick-Starter: Scully LS-76 Restoration.
Hi Folks, My kick-starter for the restoration of a Scully LS-76 is now live. For those who don't know this model, there is some details on the kick-starter for those who do... ;). It is a large project and will be time consuming but it would be a shame to let this lathe sit and be forgotten about. I...

Re: cutting direct from tape. advise needed for studerA80 de
If you think of it this way. If you record analog, mix analog, master analog, cut analogue you have a certified AAA product (Some like AAA release). Plus analog doesn't suffer from any digital conversion's. You will be taking a pure original sine wave to the disc. It's kinda cheating dumping a digi ...

Re: cutting direct from tape. advise needed for studerA80 de
or another option would be to have an extra set of outputs on the last unit in the desk feeding the preview. It'll require a little reverse eng. and replacement for the rear panel. I think there was a Sontec model out there that had an extra set of outputs for disk cutting It wasn't a four channel E...

Re: Arduino / automated cuttinghead
Am sure you could set a solenoid with a control voltage to drop the head. You will have to experiment with the timing. or you could use a delay circuit and relay to feed the solenoid... might be an easier option.
