I'd like a set of 10... (I'm in U.S., NC.) Prefer paypal if thats ok - I just checked google, looks like paypal charges the recipient 3% + 30 cents commission which would be $1.14, so that'd make it $29.14 - let me know, thanks.

In the late 70s / early 80s, I saw a toy cylinder record player. It had a fairly large light-blue cylinder which had several tracks of songs across it. I have never seen one since. Has anyone else seen such a thing? Those show up now & then in "juke" searches on the Bay... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eB...

Great to hear it's in print (& thanks for making that call Kevin). Totally agree with your assesment of both volumes (ended up going back later & getting volume 2 also).

From my understanding based on what Flo said previously is he will be including with the head a PCB for the pre-amp along with schematics/parts list so that you could build the front end IRIAA encoder/feedback controller in your own chassis. Best regards, Steve Berson [edit] Yes, what Steve B. said...

UK Hand-cranked Home Recording Cutter/Player kit (NOT MINE, just posting the link). Apparently, all parts of the kit, including feedscrew & halfnut which clips onto the end of the tone arm, are self-contained in the red case, and it could record both acoustically and electrically (almost like modern...

Couple years ago, went down that road & found 180 patents I thought were interesting for some reason or another. That could be a starting point: Scroll down past the dead image links for the list:

Sorry, guys, no wax formula in that article - in fact, now I remember how little info it had.... actually I think the video has more info... but since I already dug it up, thought I'd post it anyhow for "general historic interest"... - Bob http://www.eternalgoods.com/article_78rpm_making_rca_1947_p1...

Just won't work... 8) Seems it should work, if restored... the unit has separate cutting & playback heads, and the cutterhead has a thumbscrew & cutting needle, just like the home di...
