I bought a recordette and I found out the on off switch is stuck and won't turn. Would it be okay to take the knob off the shaft and spray a little pb blaster around the shaft and let it sit?

I found a 3 speed wilcox record player and would the speed mechanism fit a recordette machine?

I figured to shave them by putting them on a round platter and spin the platter with a stable drill and hold light sandpaper on a small sanding block on the surface.

On a wilcox recordettte that has one speed can you put the 3 speed assembly mechanism from a newer recordette on to the 1 speed recordette thanks

Thank you when I get the lathe I want to try recording on solo picnic plates with a fine needle and see how it will play on a 45 record player.

Well, assuming you can find a model with a spindle that would let you fit a CD, and as long as you have a good embossing stylus, it should be quite possible.

the recordette is a finicky little piece. it has a crystal cartridge. the pickup and cutter arm are one in the same, you change out the stylus for each intended use. do you have the manual? it's around the forum somewhere for sure. Thanks I do not have the manual yet. Gib says the head is too hard ...

the guy is away for the weekend I will try to find the model I got email back from Gib he says send head in 75.00. I wonder if I could find the parts and do it mmy self I am pretty handy doing things I am a small engine mechanic. The guy says it is a a Wilcox-Gay Recordette with radio
