I used a Policarbonate with Ultra Violet protection that was noisy. Solved it with some vaseline disolved in the ligther fluid. Now, I use it allways, but, of too much vaseline, I have to clean the record with hot eater and soap

Loudness in lacquer vs PC
Hello dear Trolls, I've got a question for somebody who cuts both lacquers an PC. As PC is harder, I guess cuts may be quieter than lacquer, is that rigth?...If so, is just a little or is it really noticeable? Does it make a big differnce when measuring sensitivity of a cutter head?(Thats why I'd li...

Re: Help for a newby with a DIY??
Hi, Wellcome! What you need most for this prject is patience...And be willing to learn about many things. For the audio electronics, this is not the most difficult part.DSP became cheap and easy, and is great, but you can do it by other means if you feel. After all, "energizing"a cutter head is not s...

Re: Question regarding cutting angle
Hi,
I think you may have to tilt thd cutter head.
Anyway, changing the angle wont damage this stylus, so you can experiment!.
If you try cutting (instead of embossing) in the future, just follow manufavturer's advice.
Wellcome and have fun!

Re: Question regarding cutting angle
Hello, Are you cutting (really cutting, producing swarf) or embossing (impressing against the blank without producing swarf)? For the first, a vertical stylus is the start point, maybe a few degrees off, if it works better for you. For the second, it depends of what stylus are you using. For me the ...
