wow.wow.wow. !very very nice...you did a great job. i think this lathe found a perfect home...
about the rca head.no infos yet. there are a few stacks of datasheets and infos i have to check. but the head looks like a standard solution like presto head and many others. thanks for the pictures anyway.

get a scully for nice price. possible for under 5k i think. buy a vinylium sc-99 head and a vinylcut amp rack...... the best you can do. there are several pro mastering rooms cutting with sc99 heads now.... or if stereo is not an issue. try to get an old ortofon monohead. very good and rough..... if...

okidoki...did some cuts...i changed the head to a grampian..more power. i use old steel stylii. best for aluminum. the cans are full...thats suposed to be the deal. i can cut someones speech, music and he gets the beer....a typical contract in music business... i also manageed to playback that stuff...

grampian feedback....is no real feedback...
to lewis d the grampian type heads are no real feedback types. the head is moving iron with oil damping the resonances. silicon oil for the high freq. resonances. dont put too much into... then the so called feedback coil is more a transformer. it helps to equalize the low frequency losses.... just ...

some facts about the kingston dubplate cutter..
to make some points clear...dubstudio asked... the kingston cutter doesnt have suction yet. thats true. but you need a regular vacuum cleaner, a glas jar, some tubes, hot glue and in 10 minutes you have added your suction system...you can even buythe suction system it if you dont want to buy yoursel...

hello there is a fundamental difference between kingston and vinylrecorder. the cutting head. on the kingston there is a feedback controlled cutting head, a vinylium sc-99, exactly the same technology as the neumann cutting head. on the vinylrecorder there is just a pair of small loudspeakers formin...
