Quick google search where i was assuming this Lewis was a cutting engineer and searching for ''MFG records'' Furnace was the first show up. Just like a said, a random thought. Silly now i looked up ''MFG'', not a common abbreviation in Europe or to me.

On the Yellow production run that is pictured on the Newbilt website you can see this is solved by another (front)plate that closes when the mould is in the press.
