You might need 600 ohms for a grampian and have read some old cutters have 500 ohms.

Hello I have the grampian amp schematic for driving the grampian head. what cutter you got?? You can drive a cutter with a good power amp and yes you need the inverse riaa curve. motorino uses VST with a plugin for the curve I think. Where are you???? I have presto 8N will play a 16in disc. Wont rent it out but I would do a transfer for you. Could put it on CD or minidisc. Just depends where you are!

I think that cutting heads do have a recomended tracking weight depends on head neuman SX45 diferent to SX68 too much weight could damage the fragile mechs inside the head.
Post your head spec eg SX? some one hear will prob have some specs on it.
