Re: Laquer Cutting Bonanza & Metal Work, Was it?

no one has made a professional cutting lathe, none that I am aware of any way Further we have not seen an increase in the number of cutting studios or cutting lathes being put into action If so it was kept quite as there was not much publicity unlike the opening of a pressing plant here there and e...

Re: Myshank Diamond Comparisons

I can not give a direct answer to the products you are referring. Technically there is no difference anymore between synthetic and natural.except to have a few boron atoms and a way better understanding of the direction of growing. From the ethical aspect we don’t even have to talk. if you check und...

Re: Caruso parametric curve

So you run Bryson in a cutting setup? Moving coil Feedback cutterhead like Neumann ? This is quite a different job to driving speakers… As a listening amp I see no problem .they sound very Nice and as I said I can only talk about very bad experience long time ago with 90ies generation.trying to run ...

haha.totally forgot that i linked it here. great there is even a little pcb since a very long time. kind of standard for pitch98/13/18 installations. but due to optocouplers its useable almost everywhere. https://www.flokason.ch/imgs/midi2lathe_nano_functions.jpg i think thats the code most use: htt...

Re: Caruso parametric curve

Bryston I can not recommend..the 2nd one on my negative list.
at least the ones mid 90-2000. They are super divas.. but maybe more recent ones are are a little more easy to handle

Not tried out since then..

Re: Caruso parametric curve

Pink noise might not be the perfect way to do that, but it can certainly help to build up a picture, (and it has much less high frequency content than white noise, so it puts less strain on the cutting head) just remember to adjust your spectrum analyzer so that pink=flat. this is all fine. i total...

Re: Caruso parametric curve

I would go very slow.cut some stuff you know and where you have the master and a reference on vinyl. listen on a decent system you know.compare and and do slight adjustments.. the fab filter .pink noise is the wrong way to go. Technically yes .but soundwise very bad idea… You don’t have to dream. Ca...

Re: Neumann cutterhead mount on Caruso

the original target lathe of caruso head back in the day was not a neumann. more for simpler smaller lathes often with less space. so i made a 8mm bar not 10mm . but its hold by 3 standard M3 screws. so take a little longer screws and it does not matter if its 8 or 10mm bar. if you want a 18mm round...

Re: WTB: Westrex 1700 Cutting Amp and 3D Cutterhead

Len is your man if it comes to original westrex…no one knows this stuff better. If not successful I can offer a dialba head and vc200 amps.. sounds damn good and is very close to 1700 specs.. i have to look up W1700 rail to rail Voltage.but you will get louder cleaner cuts than with a 3D head… The o...

Re: Agnew analog system

i think its very easy to find out. this should maybe go to a general buyers guide for cutting equipment. just send in a few music samples and ask for a cut on the actual particular machine that you are looking to buy. any serious seller, will cut it and send it for reasonable amount of money. pay fo...

hello Mark
the premotec was just laying around... not the reference.
and it only works with belt driven TT's as they dont run stable on direct.

but if you go the belt way you find cheap some bldc with electronics for 30-50$ esy
