LYREC MOTOR - Swap 60Hz for 50Hz.
Hello All,
I have a friend here in London who has a 60hz lyrec motor. Although usable with some external equipment, a 50hz is preferable in this country.
Does anyone have a 50hz Lyrec motor they would like to swap with this 60hz motor?
Let me know, cheers, Lewis

Re: Presto 6N mounting template
I have now made the plinth and measured it the old fashioned way but, it would be nice to see what you your measurements are compared to mine. I think from central pin to pivot was 11 1/2''.

Re: Scully lamp socket/bulb holder
Hey Guys, So, the diameter inside the pipe is 13/16ths...odd. Thats measuring from one thread crest to the other on the opposite side with my calipers. The thread pitch was harder to measure as you cannot actually get in a look to see the gauge resting on the threads as its a small hole and blocks a...

Dear all, Iv been searching around on the net a bit trying to find the bulb holder that holds the lamp over a Scully turntable and screws into the curved chromed pipe. At the moment, I have a holder which I got from a standard lamp place but its doesn't have the thread to screw onto the pipe. The or...

Re: Presto 8dg manual, westrex 2a-2 head manual
I have an 8DG manual, if only I could remember where I put it tho. I warn you tho, it has very little detail in it. The only real technical stuff I remember it having is an exploded diagram of the whole lathe so you could take it all apart and put it back together again. There were no schematics.

I have a Presto 8DG. PM me.
BTW, vinyl is the plastic used in the very last stage of record manufacture. Cutting a master doesn't involve any 'vinyl' products.

Re: Help Again with my Neumann Lathe
What parts of the lathe need oiling? Don't use any oils that contain waxes or detergents. They will usually not say on the bottle if they do or not. Don't use an oil if unsure what is in it. For the turntable bearing; detergent free, non synthetic engine oil like used in the turntables can be used. ...

Re: Neumann Head Mount For Grampian Head
I have an original adaptor to mount the grampian type-D head into a Neumann head box. I have used this many times to master with my grampian on a VMS-70. I got the adaptor from Al Grundy (pass away). I am not prepared to sell it as I use it but could post a picture with dimensions if anyone wants (v...
