Re: Still possible to get a VR in 2024

Souri might be a bright man, but he is a useless communicator. This issue has come up before. Souri, if you take on customers or want to sell stuff, YOU NEED TO TALK TO THEM!!!

I am sure a VMS70 would not have had this problem originally, so what have you changed?

Clearly if you have residue from the old color, you are missing something in your cleaning process.

Re: Stereo cutting lathe build.

Reinventing the wheel from scratch is VERY expensive. Why not stand on the shoulders of the previous giants, and buy a lathe already built?

Re: Last Caruso batch January

Flo, my whole point is that you have not communicated well with your clients. I have no problem with how you run your business, and it sounds like you run it pretty badly, and blame your clients for daring to ask for product! But the fact is, email is the way people communicate these days, and from ...

Re: Last Caruso batch January

Hey Flozki, as someone who will never have need of your services, I have to say this on behalf of the people who try to contact you. Why are you so crap at keeping in touch with your clients? Email is not difficult, and you certainly manage to post on this forum when it suits you. Hey, if you want c...

Well if you are the cutting engineer, you need to educate them! I do remember in the old days, the cutting engineer would shake his head and send you away.

Re: tell me your experiences with the elliptical equaliser

Your terminolgy does not make it clear what you are doing. If you have a mono signal, that is a one channel signal. Do you mean you are using two channels, but one is an out of phase copy of the other channel? As a general rule in these days of digital and mixing to Protools etc. If your mix is badl...

Re: Tone arm wiring issues.

Are you sure you are making ground on the arm? If the arm is anodised, you need to scrape off the anodising to make electrical contact to the actual metal.

Re: Weird channel drop out on low input signal

Thats a standard fault for an intermittent connection. Once you get enough voltage across it, it breaks over and starts working.
You have to trace through your devices to find where the faulty connection is.

Quote by Gold If you have the Primary in series for 230VAC then Grey and Violet should be connected together and also bonded to chassis. If the Primary is in parallel then there is no connection to chassis on the primary. Are you talking about the two primary wires? Then NOOOOO!!!! You do not earth ...

There would be too much drift if you just let the tape recorder run. You need to lock it to a digital reference, like timecode.
