Re: Hacking The Teenage Engineering PO-80
Hi, The screws don't need to be very long. I only had 1/8" long 2-56 setscrews here and they worked fine. Once you get them so they just protrude from the surface, you are not moving them much higher. One turn is probably quite a bit of adjustment. A small change in height at the center of the plat...

Outstanding work Mark and thanks for taking the time to revise the platter. Gonna fire up my vyper and get this printed o...

T-560 Vinyl Recorder In the UK on reverb
Just discovered this T-560 for sale in the UK, Margate on my daily lathe search. Hardly any for sale in the UK usually so this could be an ideal opportunity for someone.

Superb work Mark they look great, I look forward to getting these printed up and seeing how they perform. Re: NEWBIE STARTER GUIDE!
Is cutting not embossing polycarbonate with tungsten ok? the reason i ask is the stock gakken/PO-80 blanks are PETG and are supposed to be cut with the stock stylus what i amuse is tungsten. Although I'm not 100% sure it could be steel no?

Re: Hacking The Teenage Engineering PO-80
Fantastic work Mark, your really spoiling us with your gakken/PO-80 mods and single handedly have up the game and value if this little machine. There is no lathe that one can purchase under a $100 and with a few mods be able to cut 7"s just like that, ok you might able to get a beat up Wilcox-Gay or...

Re: Gakken Toy Record Maker: Ovservations and Questions
I'll post a video an in depth video tomorrow! I did it much differently than that guy. That would be great if you could. For the video you posted, that way is bad, because the cutterhead is not inline with the spindle! That makes all sorts of fidelity problems. Mine is inline, it requires spare pla...

Re: Hacking The Teenage Engineering PO-80
Hi, Go slow and back the tap out every few turns. I ran the tap through to the hole on the opposite side. Then I blew out some of the powdery residue and ran it through again. Hope it works out for you. Mark Duly noted, Thanks markrob. On side note i have finally added another motor to control the ...

Re: Hacking The Teenage Engineering PO-80
Hi Mark, Yea i have the correct tap drill for an M2, although silly me having never tapped anything before i started off using the drill instead of by hand. The self-tapping screws i have seem to work ok with FDM prints but this resin is something different. My came back from the printers very chalk...

Hi Mark,
Did you use any lube when you did the tapping, I tried using a M2 self tapping screw but my parts breaking, I got 4 bits done in Rigid 10K Resin now i only have 1 left

Wow some nice work here, samples sounds good, I especially like that dubstep track, that kinda stuff is right up my street, who made that?
Any chance of some photos of your lathe and some more of the cutting head.
