an sp10 mk2 or 3 is what you want for a deck

I think your right, I'm gonna switch from a ac geared motor to dc and use a pwm with a momentary switch to hit it with full speed for the lead In.

im thinking a variac on the motor (its a geared ac disc ball motor) to control the speed would work??

now that there are literally 100s of lathe cutters doing work now my biggest hurdle on my diy machine is a lead in groove

can you make a consistent lead in groove on embossed records?

i made a little sampler recording of some cdr lathe cuts

you can hear the hf loss towards the center as the needle gets close to the center of the cdr but you get the idea

You are correct however I did find a company in canada that will sell me one sheet at a time, it is more expensive and I try to convince my clients clear is better and looks cooler.

i ended up getting some of those blanq blanks and im pretty happy with the result
