Re: Stereo Lathe Equipment for sale (Vinylium, Vinyl Recorder etc.)

We emailed a bit back in December, i received an old photobucket pic of “the previous owner”. After i offered to drive up for a cash deal he disappeared and now after numerous messages and emails, silence. I’m not saying this is a definite scam but i smell fish. Good luck to you all and be warned!

Was hoping it was always exactly the same but can vary (slightly) between blanks in same batch even.

There’s a bit of variation in it. Best ask Marion at TZO Or RI.

Re: Lead out hum

Add rubber/padding between lathe body and motor mount and motor…the thicker the better. Using other material than mdc will help too (mine are thick all)….You won’t get rid of it all though.

Re: Groove jumping on VMS70

Open the cover, remove metal clip and unscrew the nut under the lever then you can pull it out. You need to clean the halfnut every now and then and clean leadscrew

It's no problem to sand directly on the label area of a stamper, we use 100mm sanding discs and a turntable to do this more efficiently
Sure you can but there’s a reason it’s usually done on lacquer/dmm.

stamper sanded well enough under label? We never tried it before, but it worked! Thanks. But I have some questions: 1) What's the best way to do that without screwing up the stamper? 2) When (and why) is this process required for some stampers? I appreciate any help you can provide. It’s not done o...
