i´m using the vinyl dubcutter with sc-99 cutting head and vinylium mechanics and sp 10 turntable for cutting
in pc , i would like to know how i can find out if i´m cutting @ right depth , i don´t want to cut to deep
i could break the diamond , i don´t know, any suggestions ?

Hi Carter , The most important is the cutting angle it has to be 90 degrees the Problem with the Vinylium Mechanics is that you will never have 90 degrees only with the diamond from vinylium but the thing you can´t be sure of the exact angle . I heard the blanks for the vinylrecorder are quite good for cutting with a diamond stylus , unfortunately you have to own the vinylrecorder, to buy the blanks , is there somebody out there who is a user of VR and could sell me some 12" blanks for testing ? you can PM me Would be very helpful ! Ok I managed to lower the head !
So what i try is to release the spring so the head goes down and try to get this 90 degree to the plate , has anybody has suggestion how i can measure the angle with precision between diamond stylus and plate , which instrument do you use ?

Did you resolved the Problem ?

I was told not to put too much weight on the SC - 99 head and to respect
90 degree cutting angle between Stylus and Blank , somebody got some
advice how to adjust this accuratly and which instrument I could use for this purpose !

I use the original Vinylium Dubcutter mechanics .
