Neumann lead screw info

Hey guys, I had a track mastered and cut to 10" acetate this weekend and talking to the engineer he mentioned that his lead screw has some wear due to the years of continued use. I work as a machinist and may be able to either make a new one or source a shop that could provide this service for a rep...

how come no Toolex manual PDFs?

Hey all, I've looked through the entire 6 pages and noticed there is no manual for any record presses. Is that because nobody actually has one? I've seen several posts from people looking for them like myself but no responses. Please direct me in the right direction to access one for any of the pres...

Just picked up a piercing cylinder

http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/pp346/filtersweeper/IMG_1595.jpg One of these three models: PR824-800-OFF-.34-UR8-24Z3 PS824-538-FBL-.50-UR-16Z3, PS824-800-CFF-.344-UR8-16Z3 8 inch stroke, with 1/2" power stroke. It was only 200$ so I figured we'd give it a go. Here's the PDF: ftp://clftp.cntrli...

thanks mossboss for the response. I won't be buying a big press like that although it would make sense seeing as it's ready to go. ( too much $) I will be welding up a structure that will be equipped with a big cylinder and two die shoes that will keep the stampers concentric. I'm looking at cylinde...

Force required for 12" press

I'm getting stuff together to make a significant press over the winter including hydraulics and structure that will include die shoes retrofitted with the stampers etc. How big of a cylinder will I need or rather how much force is required to achieve this? I will be stamping hot PVC pucks instead of...

Any cutters close to me?

I'm located in Kitchener, ON Canada (close to Toronto) and was wondering if there is anyone cutting near me.... (or relatively) I've been getting my dubplates sent to me from BC from this guy who charges me 204$ Canadian, for mastering of one track cut on 10" acetate and shipping. It comes to 274 wh...

sounds very interesting. How do you center the discs? I'm going to go to a bolt company today to find ones that are perfect fits (hopefully, but not likely), until then, I have a washer that fits the center hole perfectly, and is jsut a sliver shy on the outside of the bolt, so I just eyeball it. I...
